Nhlayiseko Foundation Phase Services
At Nhlayiseko Independent Primary School, our Day Care services provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 6 months to 5 years, preparing them for a smooth transition into Grade R and beyond.
Our Day Care programs are carefully designed to meet the developmental needs of each age group:
- Infants (6 months – 1 year): Gentle care, sensory stimulation, and foundational motor skills development
- Toddlers (1 – 3 years): Exploration, play-based learning, early language, and social interaction
- Pre-Schoolers (3 – 5 years): Early literacy, numeracy, life skills, and readiness for Grade R
Every child receives individual attention, balanced activities, and opportunities to explore and grow, giving parents confidence that their little ones are safe, happy, and well-prepared for the start of primary school.
Our Service
At our centre, we understand the importance of early childhood education, and we are committed to providing a stimulating and enriching program for all children in our care. Our experienced teachers and caregivers are dedicated to ensuring that each child receives the individual attention and support they need to thrive and grow.
Our schedule runs from 06h30 to 15h00, Mondays to Thursdays, and from 06h30 to 13h00 on Fridays. This allows working parents the flexibility they need while still providing a stable routine for their children.
In addition to our regular program, we offer a range of extra-curricular activities such as music, art, and physical education, to help children develop a well-rounded skill set. We also provide nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day to ensure that children are well-fed and energized.
It is our goal to create a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, loved, and encouraged to learn and explore. How to Apply
- Complete the Application Form – available online or at the school office
- Submit Required Documents – including birth certificate, immunization records, and previous school reports (if applicable)
- Learner Assessment – for certain grades, to help us place each child in the most suitable class
- Acceptance Confirmation – parents will receive confirmation and orientation details
